A unique language school in Rome, Italy
Since 2013, Globally Speaking’s mission has been to support students in reaching their personal, academic and professional goals in Italy and abroad. Globally Speaking founders Nicole Bubalo and Michelle Quigley have more than 30 years of teaching experience. They’re well-known in the local community as competent, approachable professionals. Their carefully selected ESL teaching staff share the same professionalism and ethos – along with an ability to foster collaboration, communication and confidence in the classroom.

Professional standards
We belong to AISLI, the Italian Association of Language Schools, which audits the professional conduct of the school, ensuring excellence both in didactic standards and guaranteeing an optimal working environment for its staff.
Career development
Globally Speaking supports its teachers’ professional development with a supervisory and peer observation program as well as a rich continuous professional development (CPD) program with courses, workshops and individual support. Many new teachers have gained their CELTA teaching qualification with us. As an exam centre, we also train our staff in exam day management – with experienced teachers training to become Cambridge English Speaking examiners.

We have students of all ages at Globally Speaking – from young learners to teens and adults. There is also plenty of variety in our teachers’ timetables, with group and individual courses, online and in-person, both on-site and off-site and from exam training to conversation classes. We employ teachers on both full-time and part-time contracts, and also as freelancers.
